An alert motorist, Christopher Lee Grand, helped police catch a Fort Lauderdale man accused of leaving the scene of an accident that involved a Broward County Transit bus in Hollywood. According to the police, Alexander Ronald Daranyi, 24, allegedly struck the front driver’s side of the bus, backed up and sped away. Because Grand identified Daranyi as the man allegedly responsible for the hit and run accident, Daranyi was charged with leaving the scene of an accident involving injury; his bond was set at $2,500 at his first court appearance Monday.
