The son of Dan Marino is in need of a Fort Lauderdale criminal defense lawyer after being arrested recently for suspicion of being under the influence of alcohol while operating a motor vehicle. The suspect was pulled over by police offers not far from his home.
The officer that executed the arrest reports that he witnessed the driver of a 2016 Ford SUV run a stop sign at the Southwest First Avenue and Broward Boulevard intersection. The officer also explains that two cars traveling west on Broward Boulevard had to brake suddenly to avoid being involved in an accident with the SUV.
While conversing with the subject of the resulting traffic stop, the officer says he noticed signs of inebriation that included redness of the eyes, slurred speech, and the smell of alcohol on the breath of the driver.
The police report states that the suspect failed an initial sobriety test but then refused to comply with more field testing. The suspect changed his mind moments later and provided law enforcement officials with two breath samples. Both samples tested positive for alcohol levels far over the legal limit at .208 and .210. The driver of the SUV was said by police to become angry and uncooperative at this point in the investigation and was then arrested. The driver secured his release from jail by posting a $1500 bond.
