A resident of South Florida faces charges after law enforcement authorities content that he exposed himself to a 19-year old female on the campus of Broward College’s Coconut Creek campus. According to the police, the incident occurred when the female student was trying to assist the man register to vote.
According to a report prepared by the police, the woman was working for Community Voters Project to register voters. The victim reported the man, ultimately charged with indecent exposure, came up to her and inquired as to whether or not he was registered to vote.
During the discussion, the man stated he left his ID in a nearby classroom. He suggested that the woman follow him to the classroom to retrieve it. Being on a busy college campus, the woman did accompany the man to the classroom under the guise of obtaining his ID.
Once in the classroom, the man walked out of the woman’s view for a moment, disrobed, and returned back to where she was standing wearing nothing.
The woman questioned the man as to what he thought he was doing. She started to leave the room. The naked man reached out and grabbed the victim’s shoulder. She was able to exit the room.
She met up with a co-worker and called law enforcement. The perpetrator was found and charged with battery, indecent exposure, and false imprisonment.
No information is yet available on upcoming court proceedings associated with the man’s arrest. The woman sustained no reported physical injuries as a result of the incident.
